Parasite Eve II Original Soundtrack Liner Notes

Commentary

Naoshi Mizuta - Composer

I created the music to match the characters, the environments, and the story. I tried to not interfere with the players' emotions. I worked to strike at the players' emotions. I hope you enjoy it.

Hiroshi Nakajima - Arranger

Although it seems strange for a remixer to say, but when I think of remixes, I feel that "remixers betray the original artists' conceptions, satisfying only themselves," and even when I listen to the CDs of artsists that I love, I can't shake that impression.

All the same, with this project I decided to go in that very direction. Even though I'm entirely contradicting myself in saying so, I feel that even if I betrayed the composer's original intentions, even if I aimed to satisfy myself, as long as it turned out sounding cool... In the end, since I still continue to buy commercial remix CDs even though my impressions of them haven't changed, that contradiction remains. So, to all of you who played Parasite Eve II and fell in love with Mizuta's music, I offer my sincerest apologies. I took the liberty of betraying you.
